If you use Internet Explorer 6 and are having a problem logging back into the site after registration then please read on....
This problem and it has to do with cookies which I (and many other sites) use to retain information about your access to the site. In this case we only use them to hold your username and password in your PC then look for it when you come back to the site so that you can log in simply, in much the same way as you are asked by windows if you want it to remember passwords for you and fill in the boxes when you come back. Some sites use them extensively as "spyware" to find out for example where you surf to etc.
IE 6 bars cookies unless you allow them, which you can do for particular sites such as SoldiersReunited. To allow cookies from SoldiersReunited click "View" on the top level IE6 menu. Select "Privacy Report" and select "All Web Sites" in the show box. You will see a list of sites which have sent cookies blocked by IE6. In that list you will see http://www.adoptafarm.com/soldiers.. (which is where I am currently hosting the site from).
To change the setting click the "Settings" button and then the "Advanced" button, you can then set the browser to "Override Automatic Cookie Handling" by checking the check box. You can further set the browser to prompt you when a site is trying to use cookies (which is probably a good idea). When you receive a cookie from a site you will be asked if you would like to accept all cookies from the site which will save you having to accept them every time.
